Camera Basics II [Video]

Learn the steps for operating cameras directly to record and discover shots in Filmmaker Live.

Recording a camera move gives you more direct control that results in a shot that feels more organic.

Operating cameras

Large left trackpad: forward, back and left – right

Large right trackpad: tilt up and down and pan left and right

Small right trackpad: crane up and down

Recording camera moves

Move the camera to where it should start and hit record 

Operate the camera and when finished with the shot, hit the record again  to stop

Hit the X to cancel a recording

Saving takes

All of the takes recorded for a shot are saved

Only the last is played back in shooting mode

Access editing mode to review all the recorded takes
